THE TWIN

The Twin was a doll found long ago by an intrepid Portuguese explorer in the Colonial Era. Its story begins 400 years ago, in a Bantu village along a tributary of the Congo River. The village had drawn the ire of a demonic force, and its people were helpless. To rid them of their trouble, they petitioned the help of a reclusive witch doctor. For a steep price the witch doctor agreed and set about to use his magick to imprison the demon in the body of a doll (a common practice in primitive magicks). When he got there however, he discovered it was not one but two demons making a sport of tormenting the hapless villagers. This proved to be no problem as he was powerful enough to bind two demons to one doll. Little did he suspect however that the two demons, while not powerful enough to escape, were together powerful enough to make the doll come to life. Later that evening they took their revenge when the little doll burned the witch doctor in his hut as he slept. The doll however, became trapped in the collapsed ruin. Days later the ruined hut would be discovered by a strange, white skinned explorer. In their curiosity, the demons would allow the doll to be taken as a souvenir...
