THE WARLOCK
The Warlock was a doll crafted by a princess of the fabled and forgotten Rama Empire. He was not a plaything however. He was part of a spell to cause harm to a lover who had spurned her. He was a wandering magician. He taught her magick. He taught her love. It was a whirlwind romance. But when one night he disappeared, it was not out of spurn as the princess was made to believe. The Emperor would not allow a union between his daughter and a vagabond. He had him kidnapped and secreted away, then lied to his daughter that the magician had conned her. Though tortured and badly beaten, the magician escaped... as the princess plunged her dagger into the heart of the doll of the likeness of the magician, her chamber doors opened. Through them collapsed the dying magician. Upon seeing the desperation and helplessness in his eyes, she understood. She took the dagger and plunged it into her own heart. They died in each other's arms that night. The following evening, the emperor was found murdered. No culprit was found, but there was a doll in the likeness of the vagabond warlock...
